The community came together! Between the auto enthusiasts, the volunteers, the sponsors, and the spectators, there was a lot of sharing going on and people being thankful for the community and joy that cars have brought them over the years.
Total Attendees: 81
Total Volunteers: 15
Total Sponsors/Donors: 14
Fun is the minimum that everyone had! Between the drive-thru photobooths, the captivating cars, the live music, the cool silent auction and raffle items, the drinks, the setting, and, of course, the people. Many smiles were made, laughs were exchanged, and hearts were warmed.
We all did that!
Our enjoyment last saturday, apart from all the community and the fun, did the following:
– Raised $500 for Helping Hand of Spicewood – our local crisis ministry supporting families in need with financial assistance
– Raised $500 for Operation Supply Drop – supporting our active and veteran armed forces members with an ecosystem of financial, mental and physical health, and community support systems.
BONUS!!! – We partnered with Cornerstone church to take the rest of the meat from the event and make enough bbq sandwiches to feed the entire adult transition town (75+ people) in Austin a meal!
We are putting this down as a win in our book.
Soo!!! That means more of these auto experiences throughout 2021! This was only the first one too, so we are already seeing ways to make these better!
